Football, a powerful lever
SheKicks is an innovative social and educational initiative, designed to empower girls from underprivileged areas by providing them with structured access to football and comprehensive support.
Our project started in Korogocho, one of the toughest slums in East Africa, where opportunities for girls are limited, and access to safe spaces and quality education is scarce.

August 2025, Korogocho – The Birth of SheKicks.
+250 girls trained and supported
In August 2025, SheKicks came to life in the heart of Korogocho, one of the largest slums in Kenya.
For one week, we supported more than 250 young girls aged 12 to 18 – many already mothers, all facing unimaginable challenges.
+300 pieces of equipment distributed + 5,250 meals served
From the very first moments, the project was anchored in the reality of the field: welcoming the girls, distributing jerseys, and launching the camp.
This wasn’t a regular football camp. Here, the ball became a tool for much more than sport: learning to collaborate, communicate, express themselves, discover their bodies and minds, and above all, believe in their future.
+14 essential life lessons delivered
Each day followed a precise rhythm:
Shared breakfast to foster true equality between staff and participants.
Educational workshops on human rights, nutrition, and child protection.
Tailored training sessions to build discipline, confidence, and leadership.
Balanced lunches, moments of sharing, and afternoon practice.
+3 days of tournament + 1 unforgettable celebration
Throughout the days, we witnessed the incredible maturity and resilience of these young girls. Some stories broke our hearts — mothers at 12, victims of violence, denied access to school — but their hunger for the future and their smiles remained stronger than anything.
The week concluded with a two-day tournament and a memorable celebration. Guest of honor: Nameless, one of Kenya’s most famous singers, who turned the slum into a stage of joy and freedom. The girls couldn’t believe it. This moment will remain engraved in their memory as in ours.
+400 voices heard
But above all, one clear message emerged from our final discussions with them:
👉 They don’t ask for money.
👉 They don’t ask for food.
👉 They ask for life opportunities, work, and training.
That is the true mission of SheKicks:
To provide a safe field, a framework, an education, and above all, a future.
One clear request: Life opportunities
And this is only the beginning: we will continue in Korogocho by creating local women’s teams, developing education through sport, and opening new professional horizons.

Our impact: Transform lives through football
SheKicks is a driver of social transformation for young girls and their communities in East Africa. Using sport as a lever, SheKicks provides access to education, psychological support and economic opportunities, thus directly contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A Systemic Change
SheKicks not only transforms individual lives: we contribute to changing the mindsets and structures that perpetuate inequalities. By offering young girls opportunities they could never have imagined, we are building the leaders of tomorrow, capable of inspiring future generations and driving societal change.

A Sustainable & Measurable Impact
1. Education and empowerment of girls (SDG 4 & 5).
Through our academy, young girls receive academic support and training to develop their autonomy. We break down the cultural and economic barriers that prevent access to education.
2. Health and well-being (SDG 3).
By participating in SheKicks, the girls benefit from nutritional monitoring and appropriate healthcare. The practice of sport improves their physical and mental well-being, reducing the risk of illness and increasing their self-confidence.
3. Safety and protection against violence (SDG 16)
Our infrastructure provides a safe space, keeping young girls away from the dangers of the slums. We fight gender-based violence by raising awareness and involving the community.
4. Employment and economic inclusion (SDG 8 & 10)
SheKicks goes beyond football: we train the girls in professional skills and offer them employment opportunities. We facilitate access to scholarships, internships and careers in sport, entrepreneurship and other sectors.
5. Strengthening communities and equal opportunities (SDG 11 & 17)
By integrating families and civil society into our project, we create a lasting collective impact. We collaborate with local and international organisations to maximise our reach and ensure the sustainability of the project.
The origin of SheKicks

Simon and David share the same conviction: that hope and lasting change can be born where everything seems frozen.
David, with 15 years of experience in impact investing in East Africa, has seen firsthand the injustices and obstacles faced by young people in vulnerable neighbourhoods. By supporting projects focused on empowering women and youth, he has understood that the potential is everywhere, but opportunities are far too rare.
As for Simon, he has experienced the impact of sport in his own life, evolving in elite football before immersing himself in the world of finance and international development. Sensitised to global challenges, he dreams of a football that goes beyond the pitch, a football that opens doors to those who need it most.
From this encounter was born SheKicks: a shared desire to create a safe space where football becomes much more than a game, a bridge to education, dignity and autonomy for girls in the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods of the world.
